my map

using a map of Nottingham’s bus route, I photocopied from it and developed my own map. the scale of the map measures the length of 3 A4 pieces of paper. I decided to photocopy in black and white to make the print more defined and outstanding. I want to develop further using the map I have produced by experimenting with more materials.
I then traced my map onto a plastic film sheet so I can get a visual idea of what my map would look like in different places and on different backgrounds.
to develop my project further, I want to look more into the vein like comparison to the maps Tom supplied me with. I think that being able to join place and person together could be an interesting concept. And having the maps look like veins, I could look into linking that to people and making them part of the work.
this will strengthen the meaning of attachment to a specific place.
